Reasoning & Writing — Course Coverage
This course is practical rather than theoretical. After completing this course you’ll find it easier to respond to other people’s arguments and develop your own.
This is a custom course, modified to fit the needs of the learner(s). However it is taught at two basic levels of difficulty:
- Undergraduate (corresponds to SAT exam)
- Graduate (corresponds to GRE, GMAT and LSAT exams)
Range of topics:
- Thinking critically about business proposals, ads, op eds, college response papers, etc
- The language of arguments
- Logical operators (and, or, either, if-then)
- All about implication
- Assumptions, flaws & fallacies
- Logic and order: What should I say first?
- How to find the best example to prove your case
- Cross-cultural persuasion
- Logic and translation
Course Length: 30 hours
